i worked with him for about a year back in early 2010's. he was arrested in 1995 at age 19 or so for running rampant through some of the biggest name computer networks in the biz, and he spent most of his formative years in solitary confinement because the government was worried he could figure out how to launch nukes by whistling into a jail phone (seriously). put together a real solid life for himself once he was released. bit of a huckster before anyone realized the foundation of the whole infosec economy is huckstering, and that kinda obliterated his reputation among serious security people. but in my dealings with him, he was always fair, always courteous, very easy to talk to and very pleasant to do business with. and he was, without question, a gifted social engineer.

so pour one out for a real one boys. a lot of people are going to shit on him because that was a really cool guy thing to do for a long time but personally ill remember him as someone i really enjoyed working with, and had a lot of respect for.
