pretty feast for famine out there at the moment but yeah, looks like the famine part is going to stick around a lot longer.
lotta discussion elsewhere about lake mead and the impact it would have on a big % of the south west US if it doesnt miraculously fill back up soon.

the great salt like in utah is about to vanish.
and never mind the farming / ag attached to it.
never mind the ecological / environmental impact.
try this on for size; when the water vanishes, the entire lake bed is going to turn.. to airborne dust.
so shut your eyes for a moment and imagine the weather broadcast in 2029 when in addition to pollen and heat waves, the summers have a new player on the field; toxic dust blanketing thousands of square miles.
