so within days of justrin roiland being voted off the entertainment island, hulu announces new king of the hill episodes are in progress.

the game is the game, i suppose.

- this has been brewing for _years_

- roiland and harmon relationship had deteriorated to the point where they were no longer speaking and required a professional mediator just to continue working together

- third season rick and morty was the first with female writers on staff and roiland immediately sexually harassed one of them

- roiland decided to 'reinvent' himself as a voice actor because he wanted to stop showing up for meetings, or anything else. and it worked

- the staff have generally been despondent for years because roiland checked out of every single aspect of the show beyond phoning in voice overs; he has had no creative input for a long, long time

- during the brief period before he decided to play the 'voice actor' card, he would show up drunk, one time with a famous porn star, and generally be a disruptive piece of shit while people were desperately trying to work

its interesting because learning about all this raises the odds of the show being watchable without him from like .02% to maybe 3.4%.
