Perry Mason is back for season 2 which is pretty cool. The set design and wardrobe are excellent as is the acting. I really liked the first season and ep 1 was pretty good. I like a good LA crime noir film/series.

caught up on snowfall. if you stop and think of the major events in the previous season that brought the show to this point, its basically nonsense.
like not even a spoiler why on fucking earth didnt the CIA kill franklin _then_ steal his money? theres literally no reason whatsoever to leave franklin alive. it simply makes no fucking sense. they killed a reporter, they killed his dad, they drop bodies all over the place, but they are squeamish about franklin? really?
same with the dude coming back from africa after having some sort of spiritual epiphany, realizing it was a huge mistake, being told by his best friend and mentor to get the fuck back to africa, and then sticking around to get into gunfights and sell crack again? its just impossible to respect any of this.
they easily could have had franklin somehow survive the attempt on his life and then conduct a war from the shadows that got us to this point.
its all so arbitrary and jarring and weird, like its the final 6 hours of the series, why make it all so cartoonish?
also they straight up stole their new opening splash screen deal from gomorrah and i see them.

I started Mando 3 but then got sidetracked. Watched "The Consultant" which was ok. There's some pretty big holes in the story but Christopher Waltz is just too fun to watch. It also reminds me of many of the consultants I know so there's that.
I started Rabbit/Hole and watched the 2 eps that are out. Apparently Kiefer Sutherland really became a vampire all those years ago filming Lost Boys. It's ok but Perry Mason is the best thing out right now. My humble opinion.

Secondly these screen rant trailers are fan made and annoying as shit as they just recycle scenes from either previously aired scenes or scenes from already released trailers. Thus the terrible Luke voice over. That’s not to say his voice doesn’t sound weird in the scenes he’s actually in as using the de-aging techniques they use I’m sure creates other challenges.

season 2 last of us pay:
According to Variety, Pedro Pascal will be paid $600,000 per episode for his role as Joel Miller in HBO's The Last of Us, while Bella Ramsey will be paid $70,000 per episode for her role as Ellie Williams. This means that Pascal will earn $5.4 million for the season, while Ramsey will earn $630,000.
people seem super confused about the discrepancy in pay and its becoming really clear that a lot of people simply have no idea how pay works, perhaps in any context.
