they are about to start filming season 3 apparently!


ok kinda sorta, the start date is January 2025 which, the more i think about it, gives them a lot of time to fuck this up again.

im not going to get too deep into the forensics on this because its just more confusion / noise but hunter did a interview recently where she really did just spell out that no one has the slightest fucking idea where euphoria season 3 is at. no one. but as if that statement isnt confusing enough, no one can pin down when she made it, it might have been made a while ago. the whole thing is just weird and sketchy.

whats interesting and true tho is that 1) she apparently turns in a real fucking strong performance in CUCKOO and 2) she turned down the lead on amazon's Blade Runner 2099 because she was tired of doing TV shows and then they went back to her and were like look read this new treatment of it, trust us, and she did and was like ok imma fuck with yall lets roll. and that gets me excited about that project tbh.

ok theres another tidbit that i just stumbled across.

the relationship between zendaya and levinson basically imploded when levinson pulled a taylor sheridan and started going balls deep on 'the idol' before the scripts for s3 of euphoria were even jotted down. apparently at one point she had to go the execs at hbo and raise hell over it.

i dont think i can be mad about this. like there are so many strikes against doing it, from dead principles to levinson being unreliable to the time jump, someone made the right choice here.
