ok real quick update i just watched the second episode of landmen and its absolutely fucking awful. mea culpa.

predictably, quinn has a lot to say about dune sisterhood. honestly im so appreciative of his perspective because he doesnt give a shit about production or writing, he just seems to be there for the lore. and naturally he brings the fucking heat here.

2 things jump out at me;

1) everything seems very much anchored in brian's writing, not franks.

2) holy shit they mentioned leto the worm apparently. which is honestly a big, big deal.

also quinn strongly suspects theres nothing psychic or magical about travis' power to set people on fire, quinn thinks its ixian tech and he lines up a bunch of weird shit to back up his assertion.

i lack his faith there but i id fucking love for him to be right.

silo season 2 is a funny thing; people are grousing about how slow it is but personally i find it moody and well paced. the writing is fairly inconsistent which makes it stumbled at times but i kinda feel like its hitting its stride at times too.

something im really enjoying is watching actual texas / montana people on twitter tear sheridan to absolute scorched shreds over his work.
