So is this only going to be on HBO MAX, or will it eventually be on regular HBO cable? Is a HBO subscription going to be worthless in the future? Would Game of Thrones be released only on HBO MAX today? buncha bs

honestly i wonder, i dont understand the marketing logic at all. its such a weird growth phase for streaming media, its all so weirdly expensive compared to cable bundles.

Yea it's still a clown fiesta. Are they all rooting for piracy or wtf. They've now had a decade to get their shit together and here we are.

I think HBO max was supposed to be a sort of bundle of different channels where they cherry pick from a wider pool. And apparently they are shitting on HBO by making their own shows exclusive to HBO max. Like wtf.

Oh and don't worry it's even shittier outside of US. I think i need to get German Amazon prime to whatch the second season of The Boys and i doubt there is legal way to watch Raised by Wolves here.

I agree. Very well done. The HBO Max thing is a fucking debacle but at least you can side load it on a Firestick. Lovecraft Country is pretty good as well. I am about to fuck with the Third Day. Also you should probably READ The Devil All The Time before watching on Netflix. The Boys is also excellent although season 2 is a little slow.

all this sounds very much in line with expectations, im certainly ready to lean into lovecraft country.

also how fucking overjoyed am i that they are releasing two (2) eps of raised by wolves every thursday night. honestly.

its so unnerving to hear travis fimmel without an accent btw.

The wife was asking me what Lovecraft Country was about. I'm like...Malcolm X meets Harry Potter. I kind of revised it to black Goonies or National Treasure. It's fun though.

Every once in a while you catch Ragnar's accent but he's great. Good to know they are doing 2 eps every Thursday for RBW - I binged the first three and then was kinda bummed I had to wait for the next few.

                    uh yeah

                    legit disturbing is the truth

I don't think at the time of this post it was anywhere near as disturbing as the last 2 eps were

can't wait for the season finale

looks like season 2 is signed.. they want to start filming in early 2021... optimistic release fall 2021, realistic spring 2022.
