What do you think of SPACs? Chamath has a great track record, but can every single SPAC be a winner?

Are SPACs going to be the bubble of the 2020s similar to how IPOs went in the late 90s?

i think its a tricky thing to clock whether or not SPACs are healthy/positive creatures because there is so much latitude out there regarding what the fuck a SPAC even is.

i know that Friday's SPAC offerings rose an average of 7%:

and thats ... cool...? but when you get into warrants etc its like, there really doesnt seem to be a lot of guidance about what these things really are or how they work.

you know what they kinda remind me of, now that i think about it?

fucking CDOs. they are basically synthetic shortcuts for access to an abstraction.

but serious question (i really dont know, im asking..); who has long term exposure with a SPAC? like from what i gather most of capital keeping SPACs flush is from hedge funds..

i think an interesting approach here would be to compile a list of banks who are over exposed on SPACs and then look for SPACs that havent fulfilled their destiny within the next 18 months, as i believe SPACs are liquidated if they dont perform their merger within 2 years.

shit might be worth it just to stick something in my calendar for august 2022 like "hey lol puts on XLF time".

A user from another site mentioned investing in $BFT.

Paysafe owns neteller (I really miss the early years of online poker, especially now) and skrill, among other products. Facilitates transactions for such clients as Roblox, Fortnite, and DraftKings. Plus Bill Foley is the man.

Been acquiring shares over the last month since reading the post. Not sure who the user was, but am curious if anyone else got turned on by this SPAC and may be hodling with me and the other user or any other thoughts?

              1) welcome

              2) youre absolutely free to mention any/all sites by name here. todd prefers we dont mention this site on pokerfraudalert.com, i have absolutely no complaints, hes doing what he thinks is best for his site. i have different priorities, this is a different community, there are no restrictions like that here.

              3) grasso says BFT is about to moon. cramer loves it too. they see something i dont, which really isnt unusual. but im looking at the general momentum/trend lines and this stock has been losing momentum since its ATH in late january.

with these sorts of names behind it im assuming youre good regardless. me being me id like to see it break resistance into the 16.50 before i start shopping for a pullback.

like i fully and openly admit to not having a lot of luck with long term price analysis but its interesting to me that SPY is up 2.5%, QQQ is up 4.5% (!!!!) and BFT is lagging behind both these ETFs. id expect more from a fintech spac.

that said XLF is down about .2% so maybe its the 'fin' part thats holding it back today.
