A few interesting retail stoinks earnings this week

RL - Wednesday
ANF - Thursday
ULTA - Thursday
BURL - Thursday
BBW - Friday

Maybe RL helps indicate high end retail a bit for ANF and ULTA on Thursday? Trying to figure out which ones to fade.

I think BURL has rallied too much. I hate ULTA short-term, but long-term it seems to benefits from JCP and Macy's problems.

BBW basically is a shit company but has been beat up pretty bad.

I might just short all of them, cause at some point we should feel the pain.

BURL looks like its ready to hit 190 well before july, even without an ER. its super consistent with its MACD crossover pullbacks on RSI @ 61.5% (-20%), 69% (-9.2%), 75% (-9.2% and then another -10.6% a couple of weeks later). and now we are seeing MACD get ready to crossover with RSI at 75.24% and the 200 SMA is still pointing downwards. i kinda love the idea of buying 30 day puts at the next crossover with a strike price of 200 SMA + 10%. that way if it rejects SMA on the way down you have an opportunity to jump with profits, but if it punches through or trades sideways you have a real chance at another 10% downside.

only real concern is that it doesnt do a ton of volume so the spread on options is pretty predatory but it seems predictable enough to be worth it.

As of close today, up 80%. big shout out to tellafriend for putting it on my radar. I plan on holding for the remainder of the year.
