Check out @TheFirstMint on twitter for a full list of what's in these packs. It's going to be all new moments. Looks like the most valuable moments will be the 4k LE rookie cards. Stay away from S2 players where they're about to have a second 25k card drop. In general I'm bearish on S2s and long term bullish on S1s.

Also, I would agree with this:

still 73k before me, but queue is moving fast. Either people are buying or everyone is getting timed out

My friend was 10k ahead of me and bought a pack after waiting like 10 min.

Now I'm stuck on the checkout page for 15 min. This is torture.

Didn't want to waste my whole afternoon, somewhat forgot about it. Then came back and it said it was my turn. Trying now.

This is where I'm at after wasting 9 days on this. My account value has actually been very steady over the last 4 days or so (after a rapid rise in the beginning).

My Kyrie card represents almost half my account value. I bought it for $2k and I'm finna sell it for $4.6k. This better not be worth $25k in 5 years.

turn that 4.6k to 25k in 5 and you don't have to worry about it

You need to 1.4x that initial 4.6k and gains every year to make that 25k in 5 years. Part of that is going to be taking 2.3x profits off 1 month investments. I assume you were kidding, but tying down money that does nothing is something people do too much.

That also depends on what his trajectory looks like. If Kyrie wins 2 rings/mvp in that span he could rise to 5 figs.

This makes me more bullish on everything. Mobile game coming later this year that will give the cards more utility.

                    https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/02/28/...mpression=true

"They're coming in, collecting, putting together what they think are good collections, buying and selling," Tedman said. "It's almost like if you stash together trading cards with the stock market. That in of itself is a game, before we release the mobile game."

That mobile game, slated to roll out this year, will allow consumers to build NBA-like rosters by acquiring NFT moments, then compete in online tournaments -- and possibly win more scarce NFTs that can increase in value.
"We think it could be a 100-year product," said Tedman from Dapper Labs. "If you think about what the rookie cards today will be worth in the future, especially the ones from this point of the product. Everyone who is participating now is really getting in on the ground floor."

That sounds better. Live software has a chance against hardware upgrades.

Naked 10 year old software/encryption is going to have issues in the future.

If you want access to a private Top Shot (and crypto) discussion Discord server, send me a PM. We got a good group of people in there (including some big names from "the forums"). We also send out a ping to everyone any time a drop is coming up, so you're less likely to miss it.
