i had a dream that some crypto trader was positive the entire financial market would collapse this weekend. i asked him if he wanted to place a friendly wager on it and he offered $25k, i said nah how about 1k tho and he agreed.

he was pretty cool. his parents seemed like decent folks but he lived with them in a small suburban house, im not sure how or if he could have afforded to lose 25k but who knows.

i woke up before finding out who won the bet. i think i was going to win it tho.

didnt like my odds of collecting.

decided to gamble it up a bit and place about $500 in slightly OTM 9/17 puts on each: delta, southwest, american airlines, and united.

my thesis is when airline staff start getting infected with delta strain, which i believe is already happening, shits going to absolutely hit all the fans at once.

im seeing a lot of extremely calm collected and coherent bear bets popping up on tsla.

like not the usual 'fuck elon / $tslaq' histrionics but just like, situational awareness that nature abhors a vacuum so money flooded into tsla because it was basically a crowdsourced synthetic EV ETF, and there is simply much less of a vacuum now. ford's FD work is incredible. vw's work is incredible. lucid is about 24 hours from being a potential threat to tesla's lux crown.

i do think that somehow tesla's defense contracts / connections could keep it flush.. eg i imagine congress printing a bunch of cash so anyone at risk of rolling blackouts can get their tesla roofs subsidized.

and btw isnt it a wild coincidence that musk has set up camp first in california and then in texas? aka the two states with the biggest energy infrastructure issues?

i find that really, really interesting.

If you wonder why this is a court case, germany has some very strict consumer protection laws for example you have to disclose the amount of how much fat/sugar/calories are in a product you sell or how much free space in a packaging is allowed, stuff like selling a big bag of chips which is only filled half or less wouldnt fly there, so if you make outrages claims about your self driving abilities you get sued in court and cant use them anymore or you get hefty fines applied

part of me wants to be like 'ok this is bottom' but honestly if delta can strip another 20 points away, the next stop is around 4110-4090 territory.
