im literally going to follow through on my order for a cybertruck simply so i can profit off the absolutely inevitable lawsuits. and if there somehow isnt justification for them, it will be because its the absolute dopest car ever made.

its unlikely but not impossible that his lawyers and teslas lawyers arent constantly monitoring his communications for actual exposure / liability. like morally i get the outrage but im really not that bullish on this being patently illegal at the moment.
example;
"buy a cybertruck. it will have a cybergoose that will shit out golden eggs."
true? clearly not.
but he could literally send a single jr associate lawyer to court saying "yeah we never said when, its still in R&D" and the whole fucking courtroom would literally be like:

and the recent backtracking with self driving? first he says "no problemo we have it all in the works beta8 beta9 blabla", some time later he goes "oooh solving real world selfdriving is much harder then we anticipated maybe its not so easy afterall maybe we will never tackle it"
As a bigger shareholder i would be pretty pissed
Also there are enough instances where fraudulon musk specifically said some arbitrary date where something would be released or finished
In January's Tesla earnings call, an analyst asked Elon Musk about his belief that Tesla would achieve Level 5 autonomy—jargon for a car that can drive itself in all situations—by the end of the year.
But six weeks later, Tesla's director of Autopilot software, CJ Moore, contradicted Musk in a March meeting with California regulators. That's according to a memo obtained by transparency site Plainsite via a freedom of information request.

Zalgo druff pointed out the guy who posted this data is something of a notorious israeli quack and this is one of those situations where i could absolutely see that being the case. https://twitter.com/DrEricDing/statu...73605609574401 but its interesting to note that SPX _bombed_ at open...

but since we are talking law, the parents of a 15 year old killed by a tesla on autopilot are suing:

its unclear to me how they expect to collect money when the driver has their hands on the wheel, or how to collect money if the driver doesnt have his hands on the wheel.
would make more sense to sue the transportation authority that made driver assist legal but gl with that obv.
