    bill burr

    listen i actually really like bill burr and i consider his philly rant to be some of the most pure shit ever performed.

    but one of his 2019 gigs came on after a cumtown episode and i was doing dishes so i let it ride for 45 minutes.

    i did not.. smile... once.

    i wasnt offended, i wasnt shocked, i wasnt .. anything, ok i was bored. thats really all i was. i found the whole schtick tedious. the only thing i empathized with was his obvious unchecked disdain for his audience.

    like honestly im not trying to be like fuck bill burr, and in the past ive listened to work of his and been like 'jesus christ thats really funny and insightful' but i dont know, maybe its his age or something, but it just seemed like he was going through the motions.

    glad hes banking those mando bucks and hope he lines up more acting gigs because honestly i think hes outgrown standup.

      Nobody loved Bill Burr more. Prime years 2007-2014?

      Never saw one episode of his sitcom and I find no appeal with his podcast. I prefer to remember him as he was. A comic for that era. I don’t want to soil my memories.

      “Where are all those old-school women you can just take your day out on?” he asked on his 2012 special “You People Are All the Same.” “When did they stop making those angels? What a luxury — to fail all day, then download all your insecurities on this other person.”
      Chris Rock used same sort of comedic line in his day as well. Has Google removed those bits from YouTube?


      An east coast, wise guy, Irish, machismo, heterosexual ... that and his Boston running mate, Lewis CK, don’t play any more. They are the third rail. He has been prohibited from mining his center anymore. He’s hanging on when he should hang it up.

      You can conveniently mark his passing with his move to Los Angeles around 2015. It was a good run. We move on. We want to move on

          Bill Burr has never made me laugh....not even once

          Seems like your typical NY douche who drops way too many F bombs and just yells all the time...totally not funny

            every single time youtube lines up a bill burr video after my cumtown ep ends; i feel like a witch put a spell on me to think bill burr was hilarious and transgressive and insightful and that spell just completely wore off overnight and now im kinda rubbing my eyes and trying to make sense of this new world.

              Sarah Silverman is operating on a how many levels here? Lol, it was ok cause she & CK were equals. This is an immortal take. Comedy legends

              In October 2018, Silverman admitted that C.K. masturbated in front of her, but said the dynamic was different because she was his professional peer.

                i remember when she said that, it had nothing to do with 'professional peer', i have no idea where that came from. her quote was literally like 'yeah sometimes i like it when he jacks off in front of me, other times im not in the mood and he doesnt do it.'

              I haven't watched his new special because I'm saving it to watch with someone, but check out Nate Bargatze. One of the better "clean comics" I've seen.

              As far as "unclean comics", Louis CK was the master. RIP

                this somehow makes it even worse for me; there should be 50 other clips just like this where he knocked it out of the park this hard. like the man was capable. he had the resources, he had the tools.
