please take a hard look at wild wild west's legacy before you sink another penny into 'the nevers'.

tine just hates steampunk because he read a book about how to pick up women and then went shopping at hot topic and if steampunk is going to be a thing then that's a real problem because he has like two dozen tophats now and they're all furry and not clockwork at all plus he got the completely wrong kind of goggles

Yea i have no idea what's going on with random steampunkish shows. There's been like 4-5 of them in the last few years, while what ever interest public had for the genre started dying around 2013.

I'm thinking Billy Idol's cyberpunk album when it comes to timing of these shows.

I like steampunk but as a disclaimer steam engines in general have a special place in my heart, apart from that who labels steampunk "sci-fi" its fantasy genre and surely has has much in common with sci-fi then GOT has in common with sci-fi. Also steampunk is often crossed with all kinds of Magic tropes.

I am not even sure I know exactly what Steampunk is. That being said, apparently the movie "Alita: Battle Angel" is steampunk, and I thought that was actually a decent, enjoyable movie. But I doubt I will have any interest in watching the HBO series Sonatine is referencing.

steampunk is basically a sci fi premise where steam engines were never usurped by electric / gas engines. so the whole world exists in this kinda late 1800's / early 1900's fashion vibe, but 'modernized'.

its kissing cousins with the absolute dumbest elements from shitty goth and emo cultures.
