yeah you cant embed gifs locally. you can link to them using img tags if they are hosted elsewhere tho. otherwise they have to be uploaded as smilies. i wonder if i can change that..

Initiated a pretty significant wire (for me anyways) to try and be able to get money on quickly as possible yesterday morning above the new account ach limits. Over 24 hours later no wire deposit yet. Market already rallied significantly. Inthe long run shouldn’t matter too much but still stings in the moment.
But I’m going to feel really, really dumb if this wire doesn’t show up and have to spend a lot of time tracking this shit down. Felt uneasy in the first place sending it but I’m probably getting what I deserve for going full retard chasing the magic Internet Ponzi scheme monies.
But hey at least I got a smaller ACH deposit done yesterday and have watched my newly purchased Solana swing like crazy up and down for 24 hours.Comment

Not that any of you would be dumb enough to do this but don’t ever try and wire money to FTX. 3 days now and still no wire. I can’t find a phone number anywhere for this shitty site. I’ve traded messages back and forth through the shitty chat help thing in my account and gotten nowhere.
im not that worried about losing the money as I know my bank should be able to rescind the wire but it’s beyond annoying.
also if this post doesn’t scream top of the market not sure what does.

Day 5 still no wire. Was able to contact someone through the telegram app - seriously that’s the best way to contact them for customer service. Still haven’t found or been given a phone number to call. But at least there’s been a response and supposedly someone is looking into it.
moral of the story; don’t use FTX. I’m giving it one more day then having my bank rescind the wire. The good news is crypto is going to rally further tonight so that when my wire finally does post I’ll have missed my opportunity to buy low.Comment

Just thought I’d update my FTX wire adventure. So by using the Telegram app I was actually able to get some response, but it’s a public forum/channel what have you. So there’s people like me asking questions/for help and then there are a few verified mods that try and assist.
The major problem with this is that since it’s public it’s ripe for scammers to try and pose as FTX customer service people to scam you. I had two separate people DM me on Telegram impersonating FTX mods offering to assist me in an attempt to scam me. Fortunately I’m not a total idiot and recognized what was happening.
But undoubtedly there are people that have fallen for it. And that’s a major problem- if the only way to get customer service help is also ripe for scamming. How they don’t have a phone number to call is beyond me. Like how?
Anyways, even by reaching someone legitimate through the app I got no where, and just as I was about to request that my bank rescind the wire it showed up back at my bank anyways. I haven’t informed FTX of this fact yet because I wanted to see if they even follow up on my issue and thus far they haven’t.
The craziest thing is as Tine mentioned FTX came recommended to me highly from people I trust in the crypto space. And platform wise they seem great, but god help you if you have an issue. You’re not getting any help.Comment
