One month away from the primary. I honestly have no strong opinions on it (other than the obvious, like it won't be local asshat Curtis Sliwa). And my instinct is always just to bet against Yang, but I think that play's about done. He's dropped from a high of 73% chance to win (lol) to 42% chance on PredictIt. Early on I was betting on long-shot Scott Stringer, but he had some sort of #MeToo scandal which apparently is a problem in New York if your last name isn't Cuomo.
Pretty interesting how the AOC contingent is being shut out of this election. How is her machine so weak? I think their candidate is Dianne Morales, who's been polling at some number that rounds to zero. Instead they'll have to choose between Pro-Israel and Pro-Cop Andrew Yang or Pro-Israel and Former-Cop Eric Adams.
I'd be tempted to throw some money on Garcia at 10 cents. She's extremely white and blonde, but her last name is Garcia so maybe some Hispanics will vote for her by accident. She was endorsed by the NYTimes. Adams was endorsed by *checks notes* Tucker Carlson.
I guess it'll probably be Adams. If he whiffs, he can always have a back-up career as an SNL cast member:
