Ok, so the Bushehr nuclear plant was build back then from a german company called framatom, which had to stop completing it because iranian revolution, both reactors where 85% and 50% completed, later the russian company Atomstroyexport would complete construction, now the taishan nuclear plant was also planned from framatom, its totally possible the taishan accident is a old not yet dicovered design flaw in the framatom design based on the Konvoi nuclear reactor design

this is just spitballing and not to be taken as like, serious conjecture... but we saw with stuxnet (which was 11 years ago, wow...) that malware for sensitive institutions often keys in on incredibly specific pieces of gear. eg stux would just kill/erase itself if it couldnt find a specific PCB on a specific ICS system.
but we found forensic evidence it had spread all tf over the globe regardless, just looking for that PCB, as a good virus would do.
where im going is, id not be shocked if we find out in 6 months or whatever that once again, a state sanctioned piece of weaponized code overstepped its boundaries.
like lets say theres a country called... oh i dont know... Shmysrael. and Shmysrael takes code largely developed by Uncle Samuel dot mil. and Shmysrael plants the code in iran's only nuke plant, as one does.
and then China pops up saying uh oh, something is blowing gaskets on our Taishan plant.
and Shmysrael says lmao oops thats exactly what our malware is designed to do. what if... oh no. oh well we are about to get burned because any second now some scrub is going to upload our shit to virustotal.com... ok fuck it, lets cash out and burn down Bushehr while we can.
such a thing would not raise my eyebrows.

or its the fact that the nuclear plant is a mishmash of german/russian/iranian parts which are pretty old, the last big failure was a 30 year old cooling pump, well those cooling pumps run 24/7 and this one wasn´t overhauled or replaced after 30 years of nonstop service, so it is very possible the shutdown is caused by a myriad of other problems

well i read the CNN article again and did some research and well framatom while having fused with german Siemens AG and later split, the original reactor designs framatom used to build nuclear reactors in france where from westinghouse a US company, so possibility number 3 why framatom reached out to the US gov because of the taishan accident could be there is a flaw/error/designproblem in the shared westinghouse, framatom designs and therefore framatom is obligated to check back with the US gov and westinghouse
also i found the accident report on the official chinese National Nuclear Safety Administration : http://nnsa.mee.gov.cn/ywdh/hdc/ywjy...09_828032.html
