so basically an israeli firm was offering cell phone spyware for sale, like top of the line shit.
- pilfer all texts, emails, pictures, movies
- listen/record all phone calls
- turn on the fucking microphone and record ambient noise
honestly everything every conspiracy theorist has freaked out about in terms of cell phone surveillance, Pegasus is a turnkey solution for all of it.
so obviously the firm responsible are opportunistic criminals and got persecuted for distributing spyware, right?
yeah not so much, they ducked being held accountable by claiming it was only available for use against terrorists etc etc.
