honestly im super interested in how far the scope of this actually spreads. ive literally never in my life heard of a game company that didnt have this sort of shit burnt into its dna.

by the by ive subscribed to girlfriend reviews for like 2 years now because honestly, their shit is hilarious and great. and this, i hate to say it, is the least surprising event in their saga. and honestly you perfectly summed up why. i feel like we baaaarely scratched the surface of this with the 4chan gamergate raids and then just kinda turned a blind eye because everyone assumed it was just another problematic 4chan culture issue, but yeah... i think we are running out of excuses as a society to avoid putting the spotlight on incels and saying, loudly, "what in the fuck is this shit..".Comment

The big problem is just back in the day one or two incel type guys somewhere in the world didnt hurt, those where just the odd/crazy neighbor/friend nobody liked and maybe someday went the other was because a lot of people told them how shitty they are, but today social media is enthralling them into giant echo bubbles where their shitty behavior is constantly enforced and no scrutiny is ever reaching them, also being anonymous is a easy way to voice every shitty opinion you have without getting punched in the face at the speed of light.Comment
