      The SEC’s complaint charges each of the defendants with violating the antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws and related SEC antifraud rules and seeks a final judgment ordering the defendants to pay penalties, return their ill-gotten gains with prejudgment interest, and enjoining them from committing future violations of the antifraud laws.

      im literally setting up a google alert for this case because afaik they arent actually even facing jail time yet, and no ones even mentioning the whole hacking thing. like if this was goldman or something id say ok yeah this all makes perfect sense but im deeply confused as to why its not explicitly implied they are facing pound me in the ass prison time here.

        i also love the pure russian-ness of taking 80m from hacked insider trading and using it to finance a fucking IT firm. which doubtless generated more than enough legitimate income to cover their exposure re punitive fines.
