      i urge you to read some of the online analysis written on it. eg its an educated take on the arthurian struggle between paganism and christianity, for openers, but more so perhaps its a treatise on the folly of living in fear of death, the relationship between nature and death, how hubris / pride are empty pursuits that deny man his role in the natural universe, so on. honestly it just gets deeper and deeper and deeper. like i very rarely go for full blown academic analysis of films but everything i read about The Green Knight left me dizzy and floored.

      1) i want to talk about how insanely talented she is and how she carried two central roles across the finish line with style and 2) her speech about 'green' had me fucking open.

    when this movie was over and i looked around and was aware of my surroundings again, i was so, so disappointed.

      Definitely one of those films that you think about for a while after you finish it. I might have to watch it again after learning more about the source material. Kind of curious - do you think that the Morgan La Fay character enchanted/changed the appearance of Lady Bertilak to look like Essel?

      Anyways - a beautifully shot film with excellent acting and an interesting story line. Good work tine.

        its a curious thing, i wonder. im also skeptical that she made a 2nd green sash, because i think i saw one of the murals where the thief who took it was hunted down, so they could have got it from him? its so hard to believe anything is a coincidence in a movie like this...
