taking a much needed break from debasing myself with futures trades (enjoy the new porche, random bank futures desk guy) and decided to fuck wit elden ring and i can honestly say its one of the better games ever made.

for those who arent up on this shit, the principle game designer is this guy:

basically hes responsible for the dark souls + bloodborne + sekiro games.

and he literally hired george rr martin himself to help worldbuild the game elden ring.

its.... wow. like just in terms of scope/scale its off the fucking charts. its also insanely hard and absurdly gorgeous and remarkably disturbing and features a virtually infinite number of ways to build character fight styles and i guess what im trying to say is, video games are more art than actual art at this point.

im a big fan of groundbreaking shit in general and this game is absolutely blowing my mind off and stabbing it back on.

it got like 10/10 scores on pretty much every single game review site the day it was released and i assumed it was all hyperbole but fuck me its actually not. glad i copped a ps5 back when the plague was ramping up too.
