lol i was just having this conversation last night. we got rope-a-doped by all these hybrid streaming/production offerings. netflix, amazon prime, hulu.. they all suckered us in with big names and big budgets and now 80% of their offerings are about world weary latina teenage lesbians coming of age in suburbia.

Spoiler Alert!!!
Watched this series with the wife. Was enjoyable enough, although I think the plot jumped the rails a little at the end with the whole robot becoming pregnant story arc. Also, my wife really likes the Ragnar guy from Vikings, so when he went heel turn and ultimately died it pissed her off, so I think she might be out on the series because of that.

we reached similar conclusions. there is a lot of meat on the bones still so im gutting it out no matter what but i think a lot of things like the robot inception deal could have benefited from another 30-40 minutes of pre/post event extrapolation to make it less jarring and absurd, but id also not be totally shocked if its on a cutting room floor someplace.
