After the dust settled i liked first season of Peacemaker more than s2 of RBW. I expect the reverse of the next seasons, but wouldn't be surprised that RBW decides to waste another season for something random.Comment

honestly this show is such a fucking gift, not for the shit that happens but for the shit that could happen.
like theres a parallel universe somewhere out there where campion resurrects his pet sociopath deathbot and absolutely runs the board on that whole fucking planet then pulls a paul muadib and unleashes his jihad on the universe. like nothings off the fucking table, that would totally play in this world they've built.
gotta respect that.

part of me wants to be indignant but honestly just what the fuck at this whole show. they basically had the keys to the kingdom and came with a nuanced, disciplined open that somehow ended up getting tiktok vibe'd into this jungian freestyle orgy of completely undisciplined reveals without ever once pausing to make any of them actually significant.Comment

this is going to take a second but try to stick with me here.
a friend of mine suggested i watch a cartoon called Solar Opposites. its adorable and funny and features a lot of the talent from Rick and Morty.
an alien family flee their doomed planet and travel to earth, where chaos and hijinx ensue.
its clever and well written and edgy and i actually really enjoy it.
this morning over breakfast i polished off the season 2 finale.
at the end of the season 2 finale, the aliens... turn into trees. and then sprout fruit. and this creature / pet they care for eats the fruit.

naturally i thought this was a hilarious nod to RbW. i mean how could it not be, right?
so i checked the air dates.
the raised by wolves episode where whats her face turns into a tree and starts creating fruit aired in early 2022.
this cartoon episode aired in.... early 2021.
someone has some goddamned explaining to do.
