ep 1 in the bag and like so far we are rocking out with Joe from Halt and Catch Fire and the scientist from Chernobyl and my biggest concern is they blew their talent wad with those two in the first ep on worldbuilding and we basically never see any of them again for all intents but im feeling very ride or die with this show rn regardless.
Sorta half watched the first 4 episodes. Takes its sweet time with everything. Just hate the pacing.
There are few things why Asimov things would work better in TV compared to slogging through with the writing. The most excessive waste of words can be condensed when it relates to the world and how it functions. You can just rewrite a lot of dialogue and fill in gaps with acting in general.
Some of the performances in the show make this more character driven than it's in writing. A lot of the plot needs so much set up that you can forgive the slow start. You can balance it a bit with smaller payoff events.
I'll likely watch it with more thought at some point, if nothing worth watching comes around. I generally like the Halt and Catch Fire guy mostly from Pushing Daisies.
5th episode started picking up pace. It was probably most Expansie for good and bad. The worst part of the episode was bad for the same reasons it was a huge waste of time in Expanse.
Don't know if Foundation ever gets made without Expanse. Maybe GoT would have been enough to take a risk with a show. Don't know how many episodes either show could have spared at the start without a significant payoff. GoT obv didn't take any risks by finishing EP1 with fucking your own sister and throwing a kid off a balcony.
Foundation got to start off the show with a double episode. Gives a bit more leeway. Apparently they felt comfortable stretching the slow start to 4 episodes.
We've already talked about one of your videos on email. I contacted you directly instead of YouTube comments because that was out of direct searches related to this and this place is about far enough for people in the group that's willing to film themselves talking about market manipulation as positive feature of a coin.
I'll ping you on email if you have any questions. I have no serious background in any of this. Just the nature of crypto related things leaving trails of all transactions made following it easy. I initially made this thread hoping some help with the coding part of things. I currently believe there's nothing extra with TRTH contract. No additional rug pull opportunities. Just the slow grind pyramid/MLM nature of the coin with zero utility.
The group in general ties to scam sphere moving into training/teaching angle of things. From some transactions related to coin i've seen that people that were early buyers weren't exactly new to the scene. I'm most sus about the dweeb with random Japanese name that cut down on his online presence the minute there was any heat. I mostly wanted to know what accounts he holds and who is he connected to. I don't really care about the senior citizens that use their government name when they openly talking about a conspiracy to commit financial crimes.
this shows need to relentlessly counterbalance macro world building / politics / power struggles with the protagonists romantic entanglements and 'childlike wisdom' is exhausting and i really might start fast forwarding through her soon because its all so totally irrelevant that it plays as filler.
honestly id be overjoyed if this was just 12 straight hours of Empire life. the robot confessing to the clone how much it hurts her when they always leave her was fucking heartbreaking and ps shout out to whoever that actress is.
