flash is enjoyable. hacker cyborg guy is not enjoyable at all.

i love the cops/soldiers literally standing around gawking at superman absolutely going ham on everything he sees, doing absolutely fucking nothing, not firing, not running, nothing, but when lois lane jumps in front of superman some cop is literally saying HOLD YOUR FIRE.

to my defense, i was very drunk while watching the snyder cut but it was not as bad as prometheus which even after a six pack of beer was still a unenjoyable mess

so flash can literally turn back time but lets his innocent father rot in jail?
so bruce wayne has to buy a whole fucking bank to purchase supermans foreclosed house?
so cyberhacker can control nuclear arsenals 'with a thought' but his own 'automatic defense system' literally attacks superman in the middle of a park and hes powerless to stop it? oh and it does so because 'superman scanned them'?
two things i did like:
- the notion of superman as a furious and uncontrollable god. thats actually really interesting. but its also a one trick pony. and frankly dr strange already cracked that nut.
- i liked very much that their brilliant plan fell apart by like a hair. like cyberdude was on the cusp of accomplishing their goal and it all went to shit at the last second. but the resolution to that was of course fumbled; supermans 'im not impressed' quip robbed it of its gravity. like you cant have it both ways, either superman is an ominous, uncontrollable force of chaos that cant be controlled or hes a goofy, affable every-man who happens to be blessed with god-mode. but snyder wants to have his cake and eat it too, so superman is suddenly this wildly undefined lynchpin for literally every single major plot turn. but apparently cant protect lois lane and even more strangely blames batman for her death.
note that in watchmen / mcu / xmen, these sorts of plot holes are hard to find. which is why they arent considered terrible, and in some cases are actually considered really good.
but snyder seems to think hes exempt from these basic creative standards and its exhausting to constantly find oneself ignoring them so it all somehow makes sense.

what supports this theory is that darkseid trys to convert all planets he conquers into planets like his own apokolips which is a wasteland.
Oh, and the run back in time part is even more idiotic if you think about it why didn“t he ran back to before steppenwolf beamed to earth and just told everyone the location of all boxes and made a plan to thwart his endeavour“s with them while simultaneously waking up superman with louis helpLast edited by Zalgo; 04-06-2021, 09:27 PM.

and the superman evil god thing is in my opinion to find a way out of the doomsday mess, so doomsday is invulnerable, unkillable, and adapts to every attack thrown at him over time, also his fighting strength is amplified by being simply nothing more then a feral animal propped up by highly advanced genetic science (he was created from dinosaur like animals on krypton before there was intelligent life, he is also a energy absorber which means he gets all his power from external powersources like suns or a nuke or other energy weapon), so i guess if doomsday returns someday superman get nocked over his head return to "feral" superman and beats the shit out of him until he regains consciousnes again and throws him trough time to the end of the universe where entropy just turns him into nothing (happened like this in the comics)
