2 very big leaks in my game right now;

1) its so fucking hard to stay focused when im doing 2 cons per account. especially once the market starts to get schitzy after like 1pm.

2) i absolutely need to stop playing with the afternoon market. ive blown through so many accounts by assuming the morning signals are going to hold water after 1pm.

its always the same story really; have a solid morning, bank wins... then im like shit look at this signal, i should bank more money and get ahead of my schedule. boom im down small. ok np ill just toss in a few extra contracts and get back to even. and god help me if i do so because now i want to take another position with the same number of contracts and boom, down bad / chasing losses, and the market only gets less reliable and more treacherous as the session wears on.

just keeping it real here, this is exactly whats going on and i need to identify and address it when its happening, not after the fact.

also the fact that i completely spaced that the drawdowns TRAIL until AFTER +2600 profit is disgraceful and embarrassing.

i tried working the wiseman fractal / alligator signal generation system today and got chopped to pieces, there really hasnt been a breakout in either direction since around 11pm last night.

so im finna take a break let some more accounts vest, cool down, and recalibrate.

good: im not committing any more personal funds to this and i still have literally hundreds of thousands of dollars to gamble with.

bad: had a bad day trying to solve a choppy market.

good: even tho i got turked today, i approached my position sizing with real discipline. i 100% held the line there and never gave into the urge to increase sizing to chase beats. this is no small thing. like, seriously.

I don't understand literally any of that but a good friend of mine made over 100k on full tilt years ago 9 tabling he had a calendar and a quota $500 a day and he would stop unless running crazy good. He never had a losing day. Maybe having a goal like that will help you focus.

honestly something ive heard about a lot is how different trading live and trading in a test account is. i thought i had it dialed in but i have to relearn how to calm my tits in like a dozen different ways.

there are other x factors as well like overall market temperament, volume, volatility multiplied by me getting real fuckin lucky and over-extending myself. and then there was the time i learned a really interesting new strat for entering/exiting trades that completely blew up in my face.

but youre not wrong, the sort of discipline your friend relied on to stay positive is exactly what i need to re-learn how to embrace.

hopefully things go better next week.

My friend never said "I hope today I can hit my quota" he sat and grinded he made himself successful.

Also he said he did better when he stuck to a routine. He'd get up every day eat something and jog. Maybe you do something similar already im not sure but it works. Something you always do that tells your brain whats coming so it knows what to focus on etc.

i took some time off to decompress and revisit some old Stupid Indicator Tricks i used to play with. will probably be starting back up next week.

also might start up some accounts specifically for swing trading micro contracts ( 1/10th the value of a standard contract) because i can hold those over the course of days. momentum trading 3-5 day windows is actually a lot more straight forward than trying to scalp, theres that to consider moving forward.

hit a small bounce on break, +$1040 day. gonna focus on other shit as threatened.

so im kinda breakeven on leeloo and i want to let these accounts mature a bit so im actually going to turn up an account or two on a new broker called uprofit.

they do 1 day cashout turnaround and they literally pay out in crypto and you can literally start cashing out the day you pass your funding test and go live, you just pay an extra 30% rake if you cash out before 40 trading days.

im not making this up.

the drawdown is a bit more complicated but lets see if i can fade it.

i actually ended up steered towards earn2trade... $280 up front for a 15 trading day eval.. $150k in leverage.. $4500 drawdown, which is nice.

the stinger which really put me over the top for tossing a few bucks at earn2trade is its weekly cashouts starting the day you get funded and theres no 'cushion' involved; they fund you $150k, and if you earn $10 and want to withdraw it, they fucking pay you $10 minus the 20% rake.

honestly? im about that. one of the things about leeloo thats mentally challenging is that it can seriously take like up to 10-12 weeks from signup to get cash in hand. im very interested to see if i can stay focused/present a bit more easily knowing that once i get funding, i can rack up my chips whenever tf i want.

apparently earn2trade has a rule where you can only earn 30% of your total gauntlet funding target in one day otherwise honestly id yolo the shit out of this.

another interesting piece of psychology at bar... i once heard someone talk about how you can really never 'drop down' in trading. if youre taking $10,000 positions and you run bad and try to rebuild with $500 positions youre absolutely fucked.
