SolSea is just a complete shit show...fakes, bugs, hacks, absent support mods, requires email/password, stores creds on client side in the clear (not horrible but still wrong for FIN-type sites, which this is IMO), and you can't even reset your password. Verification is basically broken. I can't find anything right with the site yet. The only good news is now Solanart feels magically functional and sublime to use by contrast.

Yeah I can't believe Solsea requires making an account. What year is this? And this is the site that is supposed to have the most money behind it.
Solanart is definitely the most functional at the moment, even if it's trash too. By comparison it's great.
But won't Opensea just integrate Solana at some point and immediately shut out the competition?

I have it on good authority that Alex Wice is about to start pumping SOL NFTs, and likely will be heavy into Degen Apes.
Here's a good buying guide:

I picked up this degen ape for right around the floor the other day. Has a very cohesive look to it, even if it's not super rare. And of course eggplant in mouth is fitting for me as a pfp.

And I have to say, Steve Harvey getting a Solana Monkey Business avatar and then not even acknowledging it, is the funniest shit ever. He just keeps tweeting out generic inspirational videos on the set of family feud. Kinda feel like maybe his kid talked him into it or something.
Degen Apes and SMB are looking like the blue chips of SOL NFTs.

Solarians are doing a community poll to decide what to do with the royalty percentage. Looks like they may reduce it down to 5% (from it's current 10%). This is a good development, as the 10% royalty is really prohibitive and is one of the things keeping prices down.

I definitely regret not selling some of my Solarians but have to think SOL mooning also depressed prices some too. Still think there’s a path to where they become valuable but it’s definitely a gamble. Lowering the royalty percentage will surely help.
I have an interest in a couple Aurorians. Will have an interest in a Degen Ape soon.

Yeah, I agree with all that. I'm still holding a solarians bag, but thankfully not as big as I was earlier. I think they could be a good hold long term, but it's pretty uncertain.
SOL NFTs that I'm holding:
Degen Apes
Aurorians
Solana MBS
Solarians
Most of these I'm splitting with a friend and will be holding for at least one year. Apparently if you hold an NFT for a year, you get to claim it as capital gains on your taxes instead of ordinary income. Lol.
I'm also holding a Solpunk, which I'm not bullish on at all but got talked into splitting with a buddy. It's way too derivative for me, same with the sol rocks. They're sorta missing the whole point of why cryptopunks and eth rocks became popular/expensive. I guess degen apes are derivative to an extent, but the art is still pretty good and it's different enough. That's also why I like Solarians. It's somewhat unique for an early sol NFT and not just some ETH project copy and paste.
Also, cigar apes are definitely my favorite. Too bad the floor is 420 sol for them now. This got snapped up today:

Just the first $1 million+ SOL NFT sale. Probably nothing.
Degen Apes looking like they're going to be the Bored Ape Yacht Club of Solana. BAYC floor is 35 eth or ~$115k. Degen Apes floor is 70 sol or a little over $12k. I'm hoping the great NFT migration continues.

Well, I just made a really dumb mistake. I see there's some dumb monkey NFT minting on etherium for free, you just have to pay the gas (which was like $50). So what the hell, I'll grab one. So I go and look on opensea and they're selling for like .02 eth (so like $65). Then somebody bids .03 eth on mine. Okay, weird, maybe it has some rare trait that makes it a little more valuable. Well opensea was glitching and wasn't showing me the traits, but whatever. So I list it for .149 eth (like $490) thinking it won't sell. Well, it sells immediately. Then I look and there's already an offer for 0.5 eth on it. FML.
Now I look and I see it has some trait that is rare and the floor for it is 1.5 eth ($4950). Oops
Edit: LOL Fuck. Now the one for sale for 1.5 eth and 2 eth got sold and now floor is 2.5 eth. FML
