Prigozhin announced that Wagner PMC remains to fight in Bakhmut. "This night we received a combat order, the first one in all this time. It said the following, if you remove all the secret information: we're promised as much ammunition and weapons as we need to continue further actions, they swear that everything will be set up on the flank so the enemy doesn't cut across is, we're told that we can act as we see fit in Bakhmut, and we're given Surovikin as a person to make all decisions within PMC Wagner's combat actions about the interaction with the ministry of defense" - Prigozhin stated. Previously he said that Wagner PMC would leave Bakhmut on 10th May. Later Ramzan Kadyrov announced his people were ready to take positions in the city after Wagner's retreat.

yeah its the mating call of a lazy and uninformed intellect.. they are basically saying 'the world would be more stable if russia was able to repatriate all its breakaway territories by force' and thats just not something a serious, capable mind would entertain.

and then theres nato article 5, basically guaranteeing a nuclear scrum in the process.

russia needs to be broken up and china needs to be placated with fresh juicy russian territories and that will be that.

it will probably happen too. pity here is that MAGA will probably get us nuked before it does.

I always find it interesting when people talk about how things would be better with trump in charge regarding this situation. I mean yes we wouldn;t be in this conflict but that's because trump would have done fuck all and let Russia run right over Ukraine. He made it very clear he was on the verge of dismantling NATO. Banon himself is on tape stating how fucking crazy Trump was gonna go second term. I can;t imagine dismantling NATO wasn;t part of that. With no united front it only entices Putin to go further west. Additionally, without America's clear anti Russian stance the rest of the world would not nearly be as united on this.

That's not to say I'm thrilled where things are right now or that a demented president is calling the shots. But at least he is not mentally unstable and has competent advisors making decisions for him.

Regardless of how this ends with Ukraine Russia isn't going away and they will remain a threat to the world for the next few decades.

so the wagner group are the only russian forces in play that are consistently taking ukrainian territories.

and whats interesting is apparently the leader of wagner just chewed out putin in person, in front of witnesses. like he literally dressed him down over being fundamentally incompetent and completely mismanaging the war.

theres a chance wagner ends up blowing this whole fucking war off and possibly being declared a terrorist organization in the process.

we've spent 17.5bn USD defending ukraine... i wonder what would happen if we took 10% of that and offered wagner's 10,000 mercenaries like 175k USD and a european visa to every single member willing to violently drive russian conscripts out of ukraine...

for anyone wondering why russia would damage its own pipeline;

1) this exempts them from contractual penalties for failing to provide the volume of gas they committed to

2) it demonstrates that anyone who feels safe that about the integrity of their pipelines, shouldnt.

that said, biden made some remarks early on about how he would 'deal with' nordstream 2 if circumstances demanded it so its hard to rule out some sort of american intervention here, but its reallllllly not super likely. the only people with any material gain from this are russia; see contract issues.

I actually made a thread about it 3 days ago and had to delete it immediately.

It's source is one Chinese blogger posting suspiciously old footage and not providing _any_ sources / citation. And hours later, she updated her post with a tweet saying she spoke to someone with high level CCP access and there was nothing to the rumors.

Immediately I saw trending topics pop up for days and without exception, they were all propped up by Indians.

Lastly there was some CCP announcement about a high level meeting coming up and they mentioned they were all still very much being led by Xi, as one does.

So there appears to be absolutely zero interesting shit actually going on there.

But fwiw I could absolutely 100% see them discovering some unsavory shit about the Xi/Putin relationship and cutting this madness off at the knees, so the last thing I'm going to say is that its beyond the realm of possibility.
