But yeah, they're minting 25k+ common cards for these packs, which I have no doubt some will sell for a few dollars. The EV will still be over $9, as there's some rare cards you can pull too. But the median pull may not be much more than the purchase price.

We just need the site to double in users between when we buy the packs and when they're delivered. And then those people can buy a pack and it will need to double again.
It's basically a giant Porzingis scheme.

yeah honestly this really feels like the next phase is massive pack devaluation followed by the inevitable rug pull.
they played their hand brilliantly. this is exactly how to make money in this day and age.

600k packs @ $9. Is the fun over?
Similar to physical cards, now the fun will be buying $9 packs hoping to hit a rare moment actually worth something.

Finally was able to sign up for an account. If I make money I’ll send Plop a commission for giving up EV for making this thread.

Site is tanking in prices cause no one can buy and everyone is undercutting.
Lovely.
When the MP opens up, you'll have players 60-70% off. Now that's a deal even a Jew cant resist.

For sure, I think this could catch on big. They'll have 150k+ common editions and you'll be able to freely buy packs. These insane lotto pack drops will be a thing of the past. The later series cards will definitely plummet in value.
I'm not sure what that'll mean for the long value of the early series rare/rareish cards.

Can't complain at the freeroll. Would be nice to bink before the fad is over though.
And by over I just mean things will get cheaper. I could definitely see these digital moments being the sports cards of the 21st century.
