I have made a Series B investment and picked up a #81 Kyrie Irving s1 /499 for $2,000. Let's see what happens.
I don’t know who this is btw. I’ve been told he’s good

If Bryan Micon is getting involved with something, you should absolutely be paying attention.

Of course, half the fun is pissing off the older generation.
NBA players are getting in to it. Josh Hart was just in the discord chat (with open DMs lol). He's going to be opening some packs on twitch tomorrow.

like i literally reached out to my photographer / fine art friends about this shit and none of them were even remotely interested so right there, i know its going to be huge because when my generation sleeps on something, its a mortal lock.

And if you think that is dumb, "crypto punks" that were selling for $2k a month ago are now going for $20k. This one just sold for $1.2 million (!!!)

I have purchased this Jaren Jackson Jr card (based on a WillieMcFML tip) for $680 as a bit of a test to see how this works. Godspeed.1 Photo

NBA Top Shot (and NFT) discussion
If you don't know, NBA Top Shot is a virtual basketball card "game" that has been blowing up. You buy packs, usually like $9, and then can resell the digital cards (some that are more rare than others) that are inside the packs. You can also pull a "moment" which is a basically a video clip.
I am very new to this, but my understanding is if you can buy a pack, do it. They sell out really quickly so they're hard to get, but it's basically impossible to lose money just buying a pack. You can pretty easily pull a card worth several hundred from a pack, and they're easy to resell on the marketplace. Also, prices of the cards have been going crazy. There's a bunch of cards going for five figures. You can pull a "moment" worth $100k from a $9 pack.
Here's a good article from a sharp guy who paid $35k for a Ja Morant "moment".
I looked and the lowest priced one is now $50k, and if that gets bought up, the next floor is $100k. Not too long ago these were selling for under $2k.
Here's a good non-technical explainer on NFTs (Top Shot is an example of an NFT)

So the site itself is super janky. It's constantly down for maintenance, and if you want to cash out you have to wait a few weeks to get your ID verified. Drops usually happen on Monday, but sometimes they have unannounced drops throughout the week. Create an account and if you see a pack for sale, just get it. Last week they had a $999 pack, but anybody who bought it made at least $2k.Tags: None
