the one thing that gives me some hope is I’ve heard that Russian nukes have the same fail safe options as Americans. Much like with trump there are likely generals who are willing to override Putin who can stop him from launching.

But ya we always knew Putin was a psychopath but we were fine with that as long as the focus was on his own populace.

being so close to a nato capital city I would hope myself and my family would be wiped out before we knew what was happening .

im friends with an awful lot of ukrainian fishermen / sportsmen / outdoorsy types on facebook, common ground being fly fishing i suppose.


what im seeing from their output;

- they are considerably better armed and equipped than the best american militias and i dont mean they have snazzy cam gear and shiny boots. i mean they have bleeding edge assault weapons in meticulous condition and an intimate familiarity with them.

- im not going to say they find this fun, but they are clearly savoring the opportunity to inflict righteous kinetic violence on every russian NPC that steps foot on their soil without an invitation. like in every picture, they are fucking smiling, and the smiles are remarkably unnerving. they are embracing this moment, live or die.

- witnessing this, its incredibly easy to see why russia has blocked every single major sosh media site from their networks, and why russian soldiers are fleeing / surrendering at absolutely every opportunity they can.

- russias apparent plan for public executions is an extremely bad idea. there is not a single ukranian soul thats going to be less bloodthirsty after witnessing them. ukranians are going to BTK every russian they can find anywhere on the earth and stream it live to tiktok. forever. russians are not ready for this and the people they will inevitably turn to for support are going to send their calls to voicemail. this will not end in ukraine and it probably wont end in our generation, pending full russian capitulation.
